I chose a name for the Nerdy Guy: Kevin Nerdman. Heh. He really does have a PhD from MIT -- that is, the Martian Institute of Technology.

This episode is a tribute to all the movies and TV shows that have been made since everybody and his dog carry a mobile phone; thus necessitating the need for people to forget their mobile, or have it destroyed/damaged/switched-off or be otherwise unavailable in order for The Plot To Happen.

Panel 1: Felicia turns to the Nerdy Guy, who hasn't staryed running to stop Alison.

Felicia:

Kevin Nerdman! Go and stop Alison!

I'll try to keep Eric distracted.

Kevin:

Just ring her mobile, she always has it with her.

Panel 2: Felicia fetches her mobile from her desk.

Felicia:

Kevin, you genius, let me get my mobile.

Kevin:

A PhD from MIT has to be useful for something.

Panel 3: Felicia has the mobile on speaker phone.

SFX:

Ring! Ring! Ring! Ring!

Felicia:

She's not answering!

SFX:

Ring! Ring! Ring! R----- {{silence}}

Felicia:

And now the signal has gone!

Panel 4:

Kevin:

Disproving the old saying that "you can't stop the signal!"

Felicia:

I don't suppose your PhD from MIT is useful for running after people?

Kevin:

Not really {{sigh}} but I'm a fast learner.
