My goodness, where to start? I think I've packed just about every character backstory cliche possible in there!

Houston Texas, the bullied nerd, splatted by the water pistol in the same place he got shot by a Blip years later! Hudson, the defiant child, following in her deceased (adoptive) father's footsteps. The wounded Captain (that scar is a digital effect, not a decal), who put honour before reason, whose "promotion" was really a punishment. The vain scientist with an ego that makes him susceptible to Caprica's (and ultimately the Evil Author Avatar's) manipulation. And finally Major Tom, the drunkard blaming himself for some mysterious past accident and driving away his loved ones. Separate events spanning the years that all have a bearing on the current crisis while shedding light on individual characters. Nobody has ever done that before, oh no, not at all! :-D

Oh and it's all sepia because it's a flashback (well, flashback vignettes), not time-travel.
