Episode Notes

April Fool!

Of course it was an April Fool! "Mac" and "Beth"? The episode titles were ripped directly from a single speech in Shakespeare's Macbeth (Act V, scene v), including a stage direction!

Tranquility Base will be continuing for the foreseeable future - I am most definitely not going to start a Galidor-themed comic. Nor did I find any Galidor figures in a car-boot sale - I borrowed the images from Brickset.

Original Episode Notes:

Well, I got bored with Tranquility Base, so I've secretly been working on a new comic series. It is still science-fiction based because that's what I know, but this time I'm doing something much darker, plot-driven and not joke-based (although I hope there will be moments of light relief). Like all good sci-fi, it is really exploring real-world issues, along with some serious social commentary and metaphysical debate. While certainly not answering, it will definitely be asking, the biggest questions in life.

So, Planet Galidor follows the exploits of a group of elite human-cyborg hybrids in the 42nd Century who are defending the eponymous planet from an alien invasion. It focuses primarily on the characters of Mac and Beth, two human-cyborgs who are partners in defending the planet, but there are subtle hints that they might want to be more than that (yes, UST).

The first twenty-part series of episodes that comprise Chapter One: "In blood stepp'd in so far" are already completed and will be published weekly.

Meanwhile, I'm finishing up Chapter Two: "Returning were as tedious as go o'er" - and I'm very excited by how it's turning out!

You will have noticed that I'm using different figures than usual. Well, I found a bunch of odd figures in a car-boot sale that appear to be made by LEGO, and I thought they were awesome. After doing some research, it seems that the line of sets they come from only lasted a short while, I have no idea why. Anyway, their multiple points of articulation and mix-n-match appendages make them perfect for a photo-comic. Who knows, maybe I can make these wonderful items popular again? If I were you I'd start scouring the car-boot sales, garage sales and flea markets now, before the prices go up!
