We've all seen this type of forum poster. Their signature attachments are longer than their posts. As a general rule the quality and length of a post decreases in proportion to the increasing length of the signature attachment.

As for top-posting versus bottom-posting... oooohh... many a flame war has been caused over this.

With regard to character counts, many people forget that spaces also count as characters to a computer and take up just as much memory as a letter or punctuation mark.
