News Update and a Bonus Comic!

Hello TB fans - I'm finally back at home now and don't mind explaining a little of what's been going on since October.

The family member known as "the patient" is actually my mum; yes, the same mum who appears in the comic. She had to have a somewhat unexpected triple heart bypass and was in hospital for several weeks. The reason I was away from home was because I (and my cat, Buffy) had to stay with my sister who temporarily became my primary carer (not being able to live independently). For a couple of weeks after she was released from hospital, mum was staying with my sister too.

We are both now at home and mum is doing very well, although it will be a long while before she's fully recovered; especially as last winter she had a stroke which left her with a partial blind spot in one eye (if you stand in just the right spot she can't see you!).

The comic will remain on hiatus until January (as I originally said), just to give me time to work on it and get back into the swing of things - not to mention this time of year is usually busy anyway!

I did have time to do a quick bonus comic for you (following on from episode #420).

Bonus Episode

I might have something for you either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day too, so stay tuned and thanks again for your patience and kind wishes, even though you had no idea who was ill or what was happening!

    Good to “see” you, again.

I hope your mum continues to improve.

The frame on the right of this comic is, for me at least, intruding into the webcomic itself. Maybe it’s because one or the other is too big, or has it’s parameters incorrectly set. I’m viewing this on 1024×768 resolution, the same I’ve been using for a while now. I have tried the higher resolution desktop settings in the past, however, it’s sometimes more difficult to navigate around with the mouse. I don’t know if you can fix this, Louise, but if you can adjust settings please do, but take your time! Your mum always comes first! ;)

Regarding the news itself, I was thinking vaguely that it was your mum who was the patient but never did quite figure that out. Good to hear she’s through the operation and recovering well. My sincere best wishes to you and your family!

Also, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family, I expect that eventually you’ll be able to resume normal comic production but as I’ve said previously, please take all the time you need! ;)

@BrickVoid: Oops, sorry, it should be fixed now. ‘Twas a simple thing to do.

What's this about then?
