I don't think Slog has entirely understood what Commandant Thalamus meant by "study". Nor do I think he completely understands the nature of the "help" given by the Medical Corps -- he probably thinks they're like the Red Cross or Médecins Sans Frontières.

In sci-fi what the aliens do is very reminiscence of a dystopic society. Yay my clad has finally come in handy for a comic. Oh wait...

Well it was already said in-strip, so I figured it didn't need commenting on. ;-)

I guess officer Hammerhead would be prepared for either a gun or a knife fight, seeing how he's got both weapons! :D

I also wondered if Anderson was trying to do a force mind-control or psychic paper trick on Officer Sharkface in panel one? :D
