This epilogue to "Tranquility Base Gets Scrooged!" (Part #1 here) is completely made-up - Dickens stops at the previous episode.

In Dickens' story it is revealed that Belle married another man (as she would have to do in the time it was written). In this version she ended up running the Sunshine Orphanage (in fitting with her character, see episode #457) - if you look carefully, you can see her in the background of the previous episode. As patron of the orphange, Scrooge would inevitably bump in to her.

This really is the last part of this story -- what happens from this point on, is entirely up to you. Personally, I think they become and remain firm friends.

Scrooge:

I should have done all this years ago.

Panel 2: A voice is heard off-screen

Off-screen Voice:

Panel 3: The voice revealed to be coming from an woman approximately the same age as Scrooge.

Scrooge:

Belle?

The Woman (Belle):

May I sit here?

Scrooge:

Of course! It's been so long…

Panel 4: Belle sits next to Scrooge

Belle:

So you're the new Patron of the orphanage?

Scrooge:

Yes.

Belle:

I currently run the place, so we'll be seeing quite a lot of each other.

Scrooge:

We have much to talk about!
