So Anderson (Hudson's dad) built a "safety-device" (for special definitions of "safety", of course!) into the knock-off laser swords. The question is why is he building them at all? It doesn't sound like it was his idea!

Panel 1: In the Engineering lab, Houston is joined by Admiral Slog and Prime Minister Hudson.

Prime Minister Hudson:

Houston, you wanted to see us?

Chief Houston Texas:

Bill, River, I have good news for you.

But first, allow me to demonstrate something - please stand well clear.

Panel 2: A person dressed in protective hockey gear walks in and stands in front of a bent-over droid unit.

Chief Houston Texas:

Angelina will take the place of a potential crime victim.

This droid unit will take the place of a criminal with the black market weapon.

SFX:

*CLICK*

Panel 3: The droid unit springs into life and the laser sword starts to extend.

Chief Houston Texas:

Watch what happens when the droid tries to attack Angelina.

SFX:

HUMMMM

Panel 4: The laser sword is at full extension.

SFX:

HUMMMM

Panel 5: The droid swings the laser sword around.

Chief Houston Texas:

The same thing happens every time.

SFX:

WHUMMM

Panel 6: The droid cuts his own arm off with the laser sword.

Chief Houston Texas:

The sword seems designed to backfire on the person using it, presumably the criminal.

Only Anderson could have done this.

SFX:

HUMMMM

THUD

Panel 7: A completely untouched Angelina walks-off again.

Admiral Slog:

Incredible

Prime Minister Hudson:

I knew my father would not want to harm innocent people!

Chief Houston Texas:

I also think he is trying to contact us, he engraved a message on the swords that can only been seen with an embiggenator.

Panel 8: Hudson hugs Houston, accidentally pressing a button on his control panel

Prime Minister Hudson:

Thank you, Houston!

Now we can try and find my father.

Chief Houston Texas:

Well, er, it was nothing my dear

Panel 9: The laser sword in the droid's hand comes back to life

SFX:

HUMMMM

Panel 10: The droid is collapsed on the floor after cutting itself in half with the sword.

Prime Minister Hudson:

Your droid!

Oh, I'm so sorry!

Chief Houston Texas:

It's ok, I got through ten of them this morning, it's so much fun watching them dismember themselves!

SFX:

HUMMMM
