Episode Notes

Hmm. You can see why Hudson might be concerned? And why she couldn't just ask the Space Police for one of the confiscated laser swords (the ones the bounty hunters ADU didn't take for profit expenses).

As an aside note, Houston has gone back to work as Chief Engineer, but he's got a promotion of rank, hence the epaulettes. Also, he's still got a walking stick -- he'll always need that now.

Transcript

Panel 1: Prime Minister River Hudson, Admiral William Slog and Chief Houston Texas are in the PM's office.
Prime Minister Hudson:
The number of injuries caused by unlicensed laser swords has risen alarmingly over recent months
Admiral Slog:
It is very worrying.
Prime Minister Hudson:
Last year, only I and one other individual, that we know of, possessed a laser sword.
Chief Houston Texas:
That would be Anderson, your father?
Prime Minister Hudson:
But now there appears to be a black market in the things!
Panel 2: The person in black (actually Angelina, Hudson's assistant), previously seen buying an illicit laser sword, comes through the door.
SFX:
Woosh! {{Door opening}}
Angelina:
I'm back, Ma'am.
Prime Minister Hudson:
Ah, there you are, and I see you were successful.
Angelina:
Yes, Ma'am.
Prime Minister Hudson:
You weren't followed?
Angelina:
No, Ma'am.
Prime Minister Hudson:
Well done, Angelina!
Panel 3:
SFX:
Woosh {{Door closing}}
Prime Minister Hudson:
Gentlemen, what you see in my assistant's hand is one of the black market laser swords.
Houston, I would like you to compare it to my own sword.
Panel 4: Angelina hands Houston the black market laser sword.
Prime Minister Hudson:
I… we… have to know whether…
Admiral Slog:
We need to know whether the black market sword is a direct copy of River's.
Needless to say, this is a somewhat sensitive issue…
Chief Houston Texas:
Oh, I fully understand.
Panel 5: Houston is holding the two (currently inactive) laser swords, one in each hand, and compares them.
Chief Houston Texas:
I will have to take these away for a thorough analysis, but besides its "unfinished" look, the black market sword appears to be an accurate replica of your own.
Prime Minister Hudson:
{{Sigh}} That's what I was afraid of.
Admiral Slog:
I fear this explains Anderson's disappearance eleven months ago.
