Somebody has to be happy about the whole situation. Although Slog didn't quite think through things when he offered Peterson the kitten just before he's going away for a while! Let's assume Peterson has a roommate/neighbour to look after the kitten while he's away.

Also, note that Falmar can't actually understand what Fluffy is saying in panel 3 (the translation is merely for the reader's benefit) - he can just sense the cat's mockery!
