Clive's grasp of legal Latin, well, any sort of Latin really, is not good. The legal (as opposed to random) words Clive attempted to use, not necessarily correctly, were Habeus corpus and sub judice.

Also, he's lucky not to have been arrested for attempting to bribe the police chief!
