Episode #26: Back to the Future got it all wrong.
Episode Notes
Yes, it is Captain Hudson! It's not explicity stated, but the other guy with hair is Ensign Slog and Fluffy the cat is now black.
The reference to the film "Back to the Future" getting it all wrong in the episode title refers to Marty erasing his own existence and his gradual disappearence before he restores the timeline.
I don't think that would happen because of the subjective timeline. That is the personal time experienced by the time traveller. If they end up in a timeline where their existance has been erased, instead of vanishing they still exist, but nobody knows who they are - they have no "history". This removes the closed-loop of the grandfather paradox.
I have more thoughts on this that I'll write-up some time.
Back to the strip -- looks likes the time traveller forgot to check that he had everything with him.
