The Classic Spaceman here does not represent anybody in particular, just the generic hobbyist. However, some individuals thought it was rather like them, which I found rather funny.

Panel 1: Spacedude 1 is working on a computer when Spacedude 2 approaches him.

Spacedude 2:

What are you doing?

Spacedude 1:

Shopping for parts.

It's for my hobby.

Panel 2: Spacedude 1 is printing out a list.

Spacedude 2:

Buying anything special?

Spacedude 1:

I'm only buying one or two items while they are on special offer.

Panel 3: Close-up on Spacedude 1, who is holding the printed list. Spacedude 1 is off-screen.

Spacedude 2:

I thought you said only 'one or two' items?

Spacedude 1 (offscreen):

That's right...

Panel 4: Zoom out again to reveal Spacedude 1 on the floor, rolling in his purchases which have been tipped out of crates, while the printed list is revealed to several pages in length.

Spacedude 1:

... one or two crates. Hee hee! Lots of parts! Lots of lovely parts!!!

Spacedude 2 (mildly disgusted):

That's... just... not... normal. Stop it!
