I've started adding transcripts to comics. Currently only new comics will have transcripts, but gradually I'll add transcripts to the archives. You can choose to "Show" or "Hide" transcripts, which will save a cookie to your browser ("Show stores the cookie, "Hide" deletes it). Transscripts are visible on the episode pages (permalinks) only, and not on the home page.
Just to clarify, the last couple of episodes with Hudson and Anderson/Vader were a year before the elections... shortly after Hudson's ressurection and flashback scenes (Castle Tranquility/Sir Slog/Mother Goodkitty etc). We've now jumped back to the "current time" - the day of the election itself.
The plan being described here is called a Bavarian Fire Drill over at TV Tropes (usual TV Tropes warning here). Seems two parties have individually come up with the same idea. I'm sure that's not going to cause any problems.
Sadly, the "Bavarian Fire Drill" is still effective in real life.
