I've started adding transcripts to comics. Currently only new comics will have transcripts, but gradually I'll add transcripts to the archives. You can choose to "Show" or "Hide" transcripts, which will save a cookie to your browser ("Show stores the cookie, "Hide" deletes it). Transscripts are visible on the episode pages (permalinks) only, and not on the home page.
My attempt at a hard-boiled detective inner-monologue - complete with belaboured metaphor.
You may have noticed that the exterior of the apartment building is not real brick. It was made using a Lego CAD program (LDraw tools), but the figure standing outside it is a real minifig. I made a CGI model because I don't have the parts to build the actual model. I might gather the parts to make this into a real MOC one day.
Another technical issue in this episode is the shadow in panel 5 - that took ages to get right! The shadow had to be distinct and not obscured by the figure casting it, or obliterated by the light needed to make the photo bright enough! I'm pleased with the way it turned out.
