Episodes now with transcripts

Posted: 1 month ago

I've started adding transcripts to comics. Currently only new comics will have transcripts, but gradually I'll add transcripts to the archives. You can choose to "Show" or "Hide" transcripts, which will save a cookie to your browser ("Show stores the cookie, "Hide" deletes it). Transscripts are visible on the episode pages (permalinks) only, and not on the home page.

I meant to do this (dreadful pun) joke when the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) went into operation. It, of course, is looking for the Higgs boson - well, it would be if the LHC wasn't shut down again due to a fault.

A boatswain (pronounced "bosun") is a searfaring rank; however, sci-fi space travel borrows from naval tradition, so I feel justified in using it, even though the Higgs "boson" is pronounced "bozon" - it's a visual pun. I did say it was dreadful.

Oh, and this comic and Tranquility Base being British, "lieutenant" is pronounced "LEFtenant"!
