Episodes now with transcripts

Posted: 1 month ago

I've started adding transcripts to comics. Currently only new comics will have transcripts, but gradually I'll add transcripts to the archives. You can choose to "Show" or "Hide" transcripts, which will save a cookie to your browser ("Show stores the cookie, "Hide" deletes it). Transscripts are visible on the episode pages (permalinks) only, and not on the home page.

Oh no! Something went horribly wrong. Did you spot the subtle foreshadowing of this in the commentary for episode 16?

This episodes illustrates the old Kylie song adage, "better the devil you know than the devil you don't." By eliminating Jar Jar Binks, our time traveller has unleashed something far worse (see also: "Making History" a novel by Stephen Fry).

Also, the Grandfather Paradox has kicked in, but how? Why? What happened? And why hasn't the universe imploded?

The answers to these questions and more will be skirted over, fudged or ignored completely in future episodes of Tranquility Base...

Hmmm.....I'd seriously miss Sci-Fi but I'm not so worried about losing Torchwood. Another benefit would be the loss of the new/last BSG series. Doctor Who has pretty much tossed the science part of science fiction out the window (can you say, "wibbly wobbly timey wimey"?) these days, so we might still have that around. :D

I can feel the flames from here already..... ;)

Luckily anything made before Phantom Menace would be safe - but it would just be very hard to get hold of. Eventually shows like Star Trek would get limited DVD releases.
