Episode #20: Be afraid. Be very afraid.

This is the first part of a 3 part series.

I wanted to do a pastiche of The Fly, so, somehow I had to have non-human lifeforms on Tranquility Base, and I didn't want to use Bob. So, I invented the Bio Lab, which would, naturally, have a garden populated by domestic animals.

The Bio Lab Garden in need of a shrubbery One slight problem was that I didn't have that much in the way of greenery, so I had to bunch everything up close and digitally reproduce the shrubbery at the back to make it look more fecund. Mmm... fecund... I like that word, it sounds rude, but isn't. I must use it more in conversation.

Transporter Room - Ready to Beam Here is a proper view of the transporter area, before the cat incident. The transporter beam was made using a coloured edges filter in my graphics application and then applying a "starburst" light effect. I spent ages working out how to describe in words the sound of a transporter beam - I think I captured it accurately!

Can you imagine the amount of paperwork involved in such a technical malfunction? They never show that in films. I bet it would lead to some rather serious budget cuts too, if not the complete withdrawal of funding.

This episode is the first in another mini-story.
