Episode #14: In retro-futuristic settings, they never use a graphical user-interface.

I made a bathroom. I actually made a loo! Apparently, it's the only bathroom on Tranquility Base and it only has one cubicle.

The Tranquility Base bathroom is a temporary set. There are only two walls and the toilet cubical itself is a façade (including dummy legs). Where are the urinals? This is a rough-and-ready space station, there is no such thing as a "Gents" or "Ladies", so no urinals - besides, going to the loo in a spacesuit requires complicated procedures best left done in private.

Captain Slog's enormous computer screen (perhaps he needs a prescription visor?) is just a wall of bricks with some decorated slopes and a hole in the centre. The solid matt-black background behind the hole can be cut-out later to show text behind it. Using layers in my graphics application, I can easily add text and pictures behind (or in front of) other layers.

Hiding the expletive behind Captain Slog's head was just a matter of choosing right words and spacing them out carefully.

Some of you who read this episode when it was first published may remember that Ensign Hudson's uniform was red, but it now appears to be blue. This is a retcon (retroactive continuity), or "reframing past events to serve a current plot need," due to how the Ensign Hudson episodes will develop in the future. Something I do with no shame if necessary - but only for cosmetic reasons.
